One thing nobody tells you: Value ≠ Leads.
The social media “gurus” will say:
Terrible advice.
Especially if you’re a small creator.
Especially if you actually want to make money.
I learned this the hard way…
I thought I had cracked the code.
But instead?
Crickets.
No leads. No sales. Just a bunch of “This is so helpful!” comments… and silence.
I was obviously frustrated.
And still I thought, Maybe I just need to provide more value?
This tweet perfectly sums it up:
Most creators think: “If I give people everything they need, they’ll trust me and buy.”
Here’s the truth:
When you give away the how, people don’t need you anymore.
They take your advice, try to DIY it, and when they struggle?
They assume the method doesn’t work—not that they need YOUR help.
This is why educational creators hit income ceilings while guys like Dan Koe and Justin Welsh make millions.
They don’t just teach. They shift perspectives.
Take Alex Hormozi.
He gives away tons of value—but not to his ideal customers.
His clients do 7-8 figures.
So who does he teach?
The beginners and intermediates who aren’t at that level yet.
When they grow and need to scale? They already trust him.
Genius.
Here’s what you should be creating:
INSIGHT-driven content.
Content that makes people say:
Your content should expose the real problem—not hand out solutions.
See the difference?
You’re not telling them how to fix it.
You’re showing them why they need to fix it right now.
And that? Creates urgency.
I call it Perspective-Shifting Content.
It does two things:
Aggravates problems—so people feel the pain.
Anchors to solutions—so people see why they need help now.
When you do it right?
Stop just giving people the map. Start showing them WHY your map works.
Hope that was valuable insightful my friend.
